will be presenting on:
Engineers Without Borders and Community Engineering Corps - Engineering an Impact Locally and Abroad
Chad Olney and Sarah Vanhooser are leaders with the Community Engineering Corps (CECorps) program in St. Louis. CECorps is a partnership between Engineers Without Borders (EWB), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and American Water Works Association (AWWA) that provides underserved communities in the U.S. with pro-bono engineering design services to meet community infrastructure needs. The presentation will discuss three CECorps projects at various stages – Vacant Lots to Parks, Delmar Boulevard Improvements, and Greenwood Cemetery Road and Drainage Repair and Improvements. Presenters will also briefly share about the EWB Gateway Professional Chapter's international partnership in Nicaragua where they are working with a local community to improve their water supply system.
