This discussion is intended to enlighten engineers on tools available to streamline day-to-day Traffic Signal Management & Operations. These tools automate tasks that typically consume hours of engineering time; such as evaluating traffic counts, optimizing traffic signals, congestion monitoring, travel time studies, before/after studies, origin destination to name many. Also the ability to monitor and provide solutions for safety concerns such as dilemma/decision zone protection, clearance failures, red light runners, pedestrian and bicycle activity. These tools provide the means to safer and more efficient travel for the public.
