Vince Kaimann, P.E. | Safety Design Build Project Director, MoDOT will be presenting on:
MoDOT Safety Design-Build Project - Road to Saving Lives
The presentation will focus on the following:
1. Objective of this Design-Build (DB) project to maximize the safety benefits of the 31 identified project locations of various facility types in Franklin and St. Charles Counties using data-driven and quantitative safety analysis. This is the first of its kind DB project in the US with the central theme of Road to Saving Lives that used HSM as the primary evaluation tool.
2. A look at the how a data-driven safety analysis was delivered using DB procurement process.
3. A look at the selected best value DB team who’s targeted safety improvements reduce 73 fatal and serious injury crashes over a period of 10 years. The current status of the on-going construction will also be highlighted.
