Active Transportation: Connecting the Dots
The City of St. Charles recently completed a Bikeable/Walkable Community Plan, which has been adopted by the City Council and furthers that focus of the city to provided active transportation networks. The plan enhances the street network with a focus on economic benefits and public health benefits for residents and visitors. The plan took into account past planning efforts including the Great Rivers Greenway River Ring, Gateway Bike Plan, and City of St. Charles Pathway Concept Plan. Paul will provide insight on connecting the dots between active transportation and the numerous roadway changes underway and completed in the City that provides connectivity in the city, as well as neighbors to the east and west.
